Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StoryboardAI Studio ("the Service", "we", "our"), operated by StoryboardAI Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StoryboardAI Studio is a web-based SaaS platform that provides AI-powered tools for creating visual storyboards, generating cinematic images, writing scripts, and training custom AI character models. The Service is intended for filmmakers, animators, creative directors, and other media professionals.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information.

4. Credit-Based Payment System

The Service operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits ("Tokens") are purchased in packages and consumed when you use AI generation features. Key terms:

• Credits are non-transferable and may not be shared between accounts.
• Credits do not expire once purchased.
• Credit packages are one-time purchases, not subscriptions.
• The credit cost for each operation is displayed before you confirm generation.
• We reserve the right to adjust credit pricing with 30 days notice.

5. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed securely through our verified payment partners. We do not store your payment card details on our servers. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your jurisdiction.

6. Refund Policy

Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details. In summary: credits that have not been consumed may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase. Consumed credits are non-refundable as they represent computational resources already used on your behalf.

7. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

You retain full ownership and commercial rights to all images, scripts, and storyboards you generate using the Service, subject to the following:

• Generated content is subject to the licensing terms of the underlying AI model providers (Flux, Stable Diffusion, Anthropic, OpenAI).
• You may not use generated content to train competing AI models without explicit written permission.
• Custom character models you train using the Service remain private to your account and are not shared publicly.
• StoryboardAI Studio claims no ownership over your generated content.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate:

• Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory.
• Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Explicit sexual content involving minors or any non-consensual sexual content.
• Content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate others.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

9. Prohibition on Impersonation and Non-Consensual Likeness

StoryboardAI Studio is a professional pre-production and storyboarding tool intended for original creative works. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Celebrity and public figure impersonation: You may not generate images, video, or audio that depicts, impersonates, or misrepresents any real celebrity, public figure, or identifiable private individual without their explicit written consent.
• Non-consensual likeness: You may not upload or use reference images of any real person for character training without that person's explicit consent. Character training is intended solely for original fictional characters or individuals who have provided consent (e.g. yourself or a consenting actor).
• Deepfakes: You may not generate synthetic media that realistically depicts real people saying, doing, or expressing things they did not actually say or do.
• Defamatory content: You may not generate content that damages the reputation of any real person or entity.

StoryboardAI Studio is designed exclusively for creating storyboards featuring original characters and fictional scenarios for professional film, animation, and media pre-production purposes.

10. Character Training — User Responsibility

The character training feature allows users to train custom AI models for use in their storyboards. By using this feature, you confirm that:

• You are the subject of the training images, or you have obtained explicit written consent from every individual depicted.
• You have the legal right to use the uploaded images for AI model training.
• The trained model will only be used to generate storyboard content for original, fictional creative works.
• You will not use trained models to impersonate, defame, or misrepresent any real person.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts where trained models are found to violate these terms, with no refund of training credits.

11. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party API outages (fal.ai, Anthropic, OpenAI), or unforeseen technical issues may cause temporary service interruptions. Credits are not deducted for failed generations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryboardAI Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days prior to the claim.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
